Hit the Brix!
Brix City Brewing at SPTR
5pm-2am
This Thursday November 14th: we’ll be tapping 5 kegs from Brix City Brewing (Little Ferry, NJ) & hanging with brewer/owner Joe Delcalzo. While Brix City may be best known for their fantastic IPAs, we’ll be getting deep into their catalog with some other great styles as well. Check out the list below (including a cask-conditioned keg of Heady Jams on the bar top!) and come hit the Brix this Thursday…
Just Another DIPA (Double IPA- Dry Hopped w/ Citra and Mosaic) 8%
Time Turns Elastic (Pilsner- Bright with crisp bitterness and light notes of fresh herbs, dried hay, and spice) 5.5%
Acid Blend Blood Orange Creamsicle (Fruited Sour) 6.25%
Joe N’ Oats (Oatmeal stout w/Koffee Wagon Roasters Sumatran coffee) 7.5%
Heady Jams w/Jackfruit (Cask-conditioned double IPA triple dry hopped with Citra, Mosaic and Galaxy) 8%
Open since 2015, Brix City is the passion project of childhood friends & home brewers Pete Reuther and Joe Delcalzo. Reuther spent 2 years of his army infantry career deployed in Germany, where he gained an appreciation of the many different flavors & styles the old world has to offer.
After 4 years of interning, traveling, home brewing, & scraping together capital, the duo opened the only brewery in Bergen County, NJ and soon became one of the most well regarded breweries in the state.
The name Brix City is a nod to pre-prohibition Newark’s nickname ‘The Brick City’ (due to its preponderance of brick row houses, something we can surely identify with in South Philly).
Hope to see you!
