The saying "Drink Local" doesn't get much more accurate then the flavor Queen Street Beach Plum offers. We cultivated wild yeast found on grapes growing behind the brewery, which brought a pleasant, subtle fruitiness and a unique mouth feel due to the abundant presence of wild Brettanomyces mingling with wild Saccharomyces. To push the fruity note a little more without over powering things, we infused the beer with beach plum pomace, which is the crushed skins and seeds left over after the Washington Inn made their very own Beach Plum Juice. With most of the juice removed, the pomace offers a soft flavor profile allowing the other ingredients a chance to shine, but enough to give the pale straw color a pinkish hue. Wildly refreshing, Queen Street Beach Plum is pleasant more then anything, but uniquely its own flavor. 6.4% ABV.
