The Slammer DIPA was brewed as a collaboration with Baltimore, MD-based punk band The Huntingtons, The Slammer is an old-school, unapologetically bitter double IPA. The Slammer starts with our base Pilsner malt and using just a touch of melanoidin malt for a slightly red appearance and malty sweetness, but this beer is really is all about the hops. Classic American hops of Columbus, Chinook, Centennial, and Simcoe, contribute 68 IBUs. The flavor addition adds heavy notes of pine and grapefruit, while the aroma addition adds more pine and a distinct herbal spiciness.
