ç Back to Breweries Stone

Origin: Escondido, CA
  • In collaboration with Metallica, this beer represents the cataclysmic collision of two uncompromising supernatural forces. It's a crisp and refreshing Pilsner that, much like the band, transcends genres, shatters preconceptions and challenges convention. 5.7% ABV.

  • 5 Bar(s) Serving Stone IPA

Style: IPA See where it's pouring

Look up "hops" in the dictionary and you'll see a picture of Stone IPA! Dry-hopped for an extra two weeks, this unique process gives our IPA its bountiful hop aroma and rich hop flavor. A full 70+ IBUs creates this beer's crisp and refreshing bitter character. 6.9% ABV.

  • For ten awesome years in Escondido, Mitch Steele served as Stone Brewing’s Brewmaster. In that time, he helped develop some of our most celebrated and influential beers while also (quite literally) writing the book on IPAs. In 2016 he moved to Atlanta to co-found his own brewery, New Realm Brewing. In 2019 we’re thrilled to get to work with him once again as the New Realm team brews with the Stone Brewing Richmond crew for a collaboration IPA. 9% ABV.

  • 3 Bar(s) Serving Stone Ripper

Style: Pale Ale See where it's pouring

When it came to creating Ripper, we drew inspiration from the coastal surf cultures of SoCal and Oz. Sourcing classic Cascade from the Pacific Northwest and Australian Galaxy hops from…yes…Australia, we made a beer both lovers of frothy peaks and hoppy green buds will be stoked about. At the same time, we stayed true to our San Diego roots by pushing the hop boundaries of this style. 5.7% ABV.

  • To create a recipe so tropical and fruity without the addition of fruit was no feat our team of brewers would leave up to the gods. They took floral and citrus notes from Mosaic, Loral and Mandarina Bavaria hops to dish up a mouthwatering fruit punch to the palate. 7.5% ABV.

  • We use bountiful whole tangerine purée, which brings pithy, crisp bitterness to the citrus flavor. In addition to the complexities of the tangerine — the likes of which you can only get by using the whole fruit — we judiciously employ just a hint of whole pineapple for a backnote (you’d likely not even pick it out of the mix if we didn’t tell you it was there). 6.7% ABV.

  • Built from the backbone of Stone's classic Imperial Russian Stout, Stone Totalitarian Imperial Russian Stout certainly celebrates the hallmarks of the style - it pours jet-black with a fluffy chocolate head and tastes of deeply dark fruit flavors with rich chocolate and coffee overtones. Yet, however old world in nature, this particular rendition of an IRS is flavored with new world hops, intensifying its berry flavors and aroma while subtly introducing a juicy melon undertone. 10.6% ABV.

  • This beer showcases our love for, and experimentation with hops using Mosaic, Citra, and newcomer Cashmere. These three combine to form an array of citrus, tropical and fruit aromas and flavors in a refreshing, crushable lager. 5.8% ABV.

  • Unfiltered IPA w/juicy pineapple & Mandarin orange. 7.3% ABV.

  • Our citrusy and refreshing Berliner Weisse is a modern take on a true Berlin classic. Brewed using the same traditional lactic acid cultures as the Berlin brewers of the 1920's, our Berliner Weisse is a bright and sparkling thirst-quencher. The beer embodies the liveliness of summer with the fruity tang of lemon and melon and the tartness of rhubarb and gooseberries. To ensure a properly Stone (and therefore iconoclastic) Berliner Weisse, we upped the ABV to a healthy 4.7% and hopped the beer with new German varieties, Huell Melon and Callista.

  • 1 Bar(s) Serving Stone Xocoveza

Style: Stout See where it's pouring

Harmoniously layered with cocoa, Mostra coffee, pasilla peppers, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and milk sugar, this beer is an insanely delicious take on Mexican hot chocolate. 8.1% ABV.
